About Us
This collaborative blog aims to fill a void in the online art world by becoming a place for information and critical discussion about the non-profit visual fine arts in St. Louis. Topics are focused on art and institutions with a national and international emphasis, and places them within the local context of St. Louis’ thriving and diverse visual arts community. Through partnerships with guest bloggers, as well as behind-the-scenes posts from institution curators, directors, staff members, visiting artists, etc., the combination of first-party and third-party sources provides information from a wide range of viewpoints.
In a world where cultural coverage continues to shrink, this collaborative blog hopes to inform visitors - both in and out of town - of our activities and to foster discussion in and about our city.

Craft Alliance, which now has a Grand Center gallery as well as a gallery in the Loop would like to participate in the Art Map. Our current exhibition, ‘Locusts & Honey’ by Jennifer Angus is featured in the April issue of American Craft Magazine and our artist residency program in Grand Center was the lead story in a feature article about art residencies in Fiber Art Magazine. We have a great deal to offer the St. Louis community and would like to know how we can get involved in this website.

Great example of collaborative reporting. We’re redesigning our site as we speak; had been print publication (monthly) for 10 years, now going almost exclusively online for the foreseeable future. Keep up the good work. Would love to see links to Flickr sites with images from these St. Louis exhibitions being written about, too. Perhaps we can collaborate; definitely we’d like to link over to your site.

Can non-affiliated users start a new discussion?
For instance after we attend a lecture, opening, or other art related event;
how do we comment on it?

Great question! We’re still in the beginning stages, but maybe a calendar/open forum section would be interesting to consider as a future addition to the blog. For now - feel free to email me (rgagnon@pulitzerarts.org) if you have a blog post idea or recent event you’d be interested in covering. We can figure something out!

Fantastic!
The STL Arts scene should be very happy that you have this up.
What a great way for all to see and contribute.
Well done.

I wanted to throw this one out there, I am not an artist myself, but do take every opportunity to share this gallery with other St. Louisans–

This is literally the first STL based blog I have been interested in/seems to show promise. Kudos.
